The athermal box is the passive cooling solution developed by Dado lab to work in combination with our HP5 heated probe or as stand-alone solution for water condensation or micropollutants determination with impingers train.
The box is built in AISI304 stainless steel and aluminum while the internal cooling bath is made in polypropilene to optimize the insulation.
When used with the Dado lab HP5 probe, the athermal box can be directly attached on the back of the heated box without using screws, just align the box with the eyelet.
This solution allows very short connection between the filterholder and impingers train which greatly reduces the water condensation along the tubes. Also helps to free space on the sampling plane floor.
The box is supplied with a AISI316 cover which protects the impingers during the transport or when lifted to the sampling plane.
The rugged construction also come handy when using the athermal box separated from the probe, or with other brands solution, leaving the box on the floor.
The athermal box comes equipped with a practical quick connector for the suction tube. The steel mounting bracket on the side of the box supports the heavy umbilical cables protecting the impingers from damages.
Up to 6 impingers can be placed inside the athermal box with various combinations to satisfy different standards, from classic 500cc impingers train from water condensation to 3 500cc + 3 250cc impingers for side sampling configurations. Different support foams are available for the required application.
The athermal box can be used also with Dado lab PTFE, polycarbonate or polyethilene impingers.
